I wonder why the cover image is not being displayed.

Sakura, I think you have several covers in different banks.

Nesbox, thank you. By referring to this (https://github-wiki-see.page/m/nesbox/TIC-80/wiki/.tic-File-Format#screen) and editing the binary of the .tic file to remove chunk type 18 and chunk type 17, the cover image is now displayed!
