A simple game, the idea came the KDE "kspaceduel" game.
But I decided to simplify it somewhat.
Your satellite stays at a fixed orbit, you can simply increase or decrease your orbital height with up and down. The players orbit opposite directions and you can drop a bomb which stays in place until its fuel runs out or you can shoot a projectile. Your fuel runs down as you manoeuvre. The star will recharge it if you are close enough.
It's two player.
Still a bit to do...

It's reminiscent of the loading screen for an 80's game - it looks noting like the actual game.

I obviously don't want to mislead anyone or cause any anger.
Surely it is entirely up to me what image I might want to use for the image. Clearly if I only distributed my game on my own site I can do what I want. BUT maybe to be listed on this site there should be guidelines as to what it should be. I see some of the other games on here are screen shots and others are "title screens" or various other things. If you take "Dog and Boy" https://tic.computer/play?cart=176 it isn't a screen shot. The game isn't anything like it. (It's a great idea of a game). Whereas "Odd Socks" https://tic.computer/play?cart=169 has more of a title screen. But still the game isn't actually like it. I would consider the image for a TIC80 game to be perfectly acceptable if it is just related artwork, something to whet you appetite and allow your imagination to be pointed in the correct direction. |
