This is my first TIC-80 project and a port of Eugene Jarvis' legendary game Stargate, that I previously made in pico8.
There were many cut features in pico8 version due to hardware limitation, but thanks to TIC-80's superior hardware I could implement all the features of the original game.
I'm impressed by TIC-80's performance and planning to make more games for it !

This is great quality! A long time ago, as an arcade game, I loved playing Defender! :D

This game was also called Defender (or Defender II) when I play it for the first time in 80s

This game is sooooo much fun. I vaguely remember this game in the arcades. What is amazing about this game is that it is a complete re-implementation of the game. It is hard enough to start and it gets harder as it goes on. It is amazing to think about what it means for a game to be fun and how the bare minimum of mechanics can be used to achieve fun.
