This is a comprehensive system to handle animated sprites. It is designed around the default spr function, and should support all of its default arguments. With this system you can:
- Define multiple animations per object, each with its own length and speed;
- Animate scale;
- Animate rotation;
- Outline your sprites (thin and thick outlines available);
- Blink your sprites (rapidly flash the sprites for a certain amount of time).
The system is very customizable and is built with LUA's way of implementing object-oriented programming in mind. There's lots of comments, so you should be able to follow what's going on in the code pretty easily, but feel free to make questions in the comments below.
I imagine there are ways to improve this system or make it more efficient, so let me know what would be your suggestions! I tried my best to make it efficient and fully featured.
